PI Cat DeLuca is in a Bridgeport pub getting the photos she needs to tie up another case when a man dressed as Santa Claus walks into the bar and disappears behind doors designated for employees only. Minutes later there's a commotion and Santa charges out. Santa's eyes meet Cat's and flash with recognition. The man in the Santa suit is Bill Bonham, class clown from Cat's days at Bridgeport High, who is working a case for a former bartender who abruptly left her joband townafter having witnessed a murder. Soon Cat is involved in Bill's investigation and wondering whether she likes the heat or should just get out of the kitchen.
